Campaign Spending Limits Upheld Still!!

Friends,

NVRI's long effort to make political campaigns financially accessible to all Americans got a shot in the arm last week. On Friday, the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals denied the petition for an en banc re-hearing of the Landell case, involving Vermont's spending limit laws. That means the 2nd Circuit's ruling that campaign spending limits can be constitutional still stands. This is an unprecedented decision. It means the folks who oppose spending limits must now decide whether to appeal the decision to the Supreme Court, or let it stand, and have a lower court continue discussions about the Vermont law. The attached press release describes it all.

As always, thanks for your support of our work.

Best Regards,
Stu
